Chichen Itza

About 125 miles inland from Cancún, Chichen Itza is an ancient Mayan city that is now one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This archeological site—also a UNESCO World Heritage Site—features an 80-foot-tall pyramid, a ceremonial sinkhole, an astronomical observatory and the Great Ball Court where ancient Mayans played a ritualistic game embued had both cultural and spiritual meaning.

Playa del Carmen
