Topkapı Palace constructed by Fatih Sultan Mehmet, in 1478 has been the official residence of the Otoman Sultans.The palace having around 700.000 sqm area during the foundation years has currently 80.000 sqm area.

The Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque with its innovative architecture, rich history, religious significance and extraordinary characteristics has been fighting against time for centuries, is the largest Eastern Roman Church in Istanbul. With its breathtaking domes that look like hanging in the air, monolithic marble columns and unparalleled mosaics, is one of the wonders of world’s architecture history.

The building is more familiarly known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior panelling of blue and white Iznik tiles. Don't miss the royal kiosk with its entry ramp which the Sultan used to cross on horseback.

Built in the mid 19th century by Sultan Abdulmecid, Dolmabahce Palace stretches for 600 metres along the European shore of the Bosphorus. The main palace has 285 small rooms, 46 reception rooms and six Turkish baths.Built in the Neoclassical, Baroque and Rococo styles.

Used as the Sultan's summer residence, this palace was also offered to the most distinguished foreign dignitaries for their visits. Unlike the other palaces, there is no heating system, because it was only used in summer.

In this museum, just one kilometre from the hotel, the great field tents used by Ottoman armies are on display. Here you can find battle equipment used by the Ottomans and later by the Turkish army. The Mehter Band can be heard performing Ottoman martial music daily between 3pm and 4pm.

The borders of the Ottoman Empire extended from Anatolia to Mesopotamia and from the Balkans to Africa. At the Archaeology Museum, you can view artifacts from all of the different civilizations. Here you can see countless items with great historic value, like the 3200 year old Kadesh Peace Treaty.

The 11th century church of St Savior in the Chora complex is, after Hagia Sophia, the most important Byzantine monument in Istanbul. It was converted to a mosque in 1515 and a school and kitchen was added to the structure.

Built in 1524, the museum features ceramic works,c arpets from the Selcuk and Ottoman periods, jewelled pieces, Koran desks inlaid with mother of pearl, priceless handwritten Korans and miniatures.It was the grandest private residence ever constructed in the Ottoman period.

One of the oldest towers of the world was built of wood by Byzantine emperor Anastasius Oilozus in 528 as a lighthouse.During the reign of Murad IV. (1612-1640) Hezarfen Ahmet Celebi flew as an early aviator using artificial wings from this tower over the Bosphorus to the slopes Uskudar on the Anatolian side nearly 6 kilometers away.

This is the first major museum in Turkey dedicated to the history of Transport, Industry and Communications. The collection contains thousands of items from gramophone needles to full size ships and aircraft.
