Jinmianshan Hiking Trail has an elevation of 252 meters. At one end of the mountain are the clear waters of the Neihudapo Lake. Descending from the top, to a pass at 181m elevation, and then climbing again to another peak (with high voltage power tower) takes about 20 minutes. Here, a huge stone protrudes towards the north and, looking from Bishanyan, the mountain looks like a knife, which is the origin of the name Jiandaoshi Mountain. The whole of Taipei City can be seen from this peak.

Shilin Night Market is the one of the largest night markets in Taipei. The market is formed by many prosperous shops on Wenlin Road, Dadong Road and Danan Road, etc. Among them, Shilin Market was built as early as in 1899 and the market is famous for various snacks and eatery. Many visitors have come to Shilin Night Market to enjoy the delicious foods, such as large pancake enfolding small pancake, hot pot on stone or Shilin sausage.

The Miramar Entertainment Park is within walking distance to Hotel Indigo Taipei North. Zhi Fu Temple, with a history of over 200 years, enshrines the God of Land. It serves as a spiritual and belief center for the residents of the Dazhi area. The construction materials used in Zhi Fu Temple are all stone carvings, preserving traditional Chinese characteristics and folk beliefs. The decorations on the building showcase historical and enduring artifacts of cultural heritage.

The butterfly path on Jiannan Road is near the MRT Jianna Road Station Exit 1, you may start from Beian Road, Lane 745, trekking past Zhengyuan Temple to get there. The pathway is abundant in wildlife. From the butterfly path, you can enjoy a great view overlooking the Taipei basin, as well as watching various kinds of butterflies, such as white, hairstreak and swallowtail butterflies fluttering in the trees.

Jiantan Temple enshrines Guanyin, serving as a place for practicing Buddhism. It is one of the oldest historical temples in northern Taiwan. Originally located in Jiantan, it was forced to relocate to Dazhi during later period of the Japanese colonial era. It incorporates a mix of original wooden and stone materials from the old temple.
