Jinmianshan Hiking Trail

Jinmianshan Hiking Trail has an elevation of 252 meters. At one end of the mountain are the clear waters of the Neihudapo Lake. Descending from the top, to a pass at 181m elevation, and then climbing again to another peak (with high voltage power tower) takes about 20 minutes. Here, a huge stone protrudes towards the north and, looking from Bishanyan, the mountain looks like a knife, which is the origin of the name Jiandaoshi Mountain. The whole of Taipei City can be seen from this peak.

Shilin Night Market

Shilin Night Market is the one of the largest night markets in Taipei. The market is formed by many prosperous shops on Wenlin Road, Dadong Road and Danan Road, etc. Among them, Shilin Market was built as early as in 1899 and the market is famous for various snacks and eatery. Many visitors have come to Shilin Night Market to enjoy the delicious foods, such as large pancake enfolding small pancake, hot pot on stone or Shilin sausage.

Miramar Entertainment Park Ferris Wheel

The Miramar Entertainment Park is within walking distance to Hotel Indigo Taipei North. The butterfly path on Jiannan Road

The butterfly path on Jiannan Road is near the MRT Jianna Road Station Exit 1, you may start from Beian Road, Lane 745, trekking past Zhengyuan Temple to get there. The pathway is abundant in wildlife. From the butterfly path, you can enjoy a great view overlooking the Taipei basin, as well as watching various kinds of butterflies, such as white, hairstreak and swallowtail butterflies fluttering in the trees.

Jiantan Temple
