Senator Bob Martin Agricultural Center

This is a state of the art, multi-facet facility that can be used by all. The coliseum is more than 110,000 square feet, which is heated and ventilated. This includes approximately 10,000 square feet of vending concourse. It also boasts a 150’ x 300' arena with permanent seating for 2,286. In addition, there is a fully enclosed 75’ x 125’ paddock with an attached 120’ x 240’ covered arena, three outdoor 120’ x 240’ practice rings, five lunging rings and two dressage pads.

East Carolina Motor Cross Speedway

4918 U.S. 64 Alt., Robersonville, NC 27871

The track opened in 1990 under the ownership of Gerald Whitehurst, Durwood Allen and Lee Harney. Over the years, others leased and operated the track. By 2005, Whitehurst had bought out his partners and accepted an offer late that year to sell the track to Wayne M. Perry of Elizabeth City, N.C. The sale was completed in early 2006. Among the drivers who have raced at ECMS are Ernie Irvan, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Rick Mast.

Robersonville Country Club & Golf Course

The 9-hole "Robersonville" course at the Robersonville Country Club facility in Robersonville, North Carolina features 3,110 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36 . Robersonville golf course opened in 1965. Jimmy Rogers manages the course as the Manager.

ASA Biggs House

100 E Chruch St, Williamston, NC 27892

The home of one of North Carolina's best known jurists and politicians, it has an interesting blend of Federal and Greek Revival details. Its awkward symmetry and rambling plan lend credence to local legend that Biggs added a room with the birth of each of his 10 children. In 1928, the house was sold out of the family, and in 1978, taken over by the Martin County Historical Society, which continues its restoration. In 1979, the house was placed on the National Register of Historic Places

Moratoc River Park

102 River Road, Williamston, NC 27892

An 18-acre county-owned park in the Roanoke River in Williamston, featuring a river overlook and fishing pier. This is the site of the original wharf of Williamston, where goods were shipped in and out. Several old buildings can be viewed from the outside including a one-room schoolhouse and a former lumber mill commissary. A long warehouse style building, which was commonplace along the river in earlier days, hosts receptions, weddings, regional meetings and conferences.

Fort Branch Civil War Site

2883 Fort Branch Road, Hamilton, NC 27892

Located two miles below Hamilton, North Carolina and 60 miles upriver of the town of Plymouth. Sitting 70 feet above a bend in the Roanoke River, this Confederate earthen fort provided a safe and clear view of Union gunboats approaching from down river. Visit the site and you can see eight of the fort's original cannon, making Fort Branch the only earthwork fortification in the South with its original artillery in place.

Roanoke Country Club

1380 Fairway Drive, Williamston, NC 27892

Roanoke Country Club opened for play in 1954. The original nine was designed by Ellis Maples. In 1975 the course was redesigned by Gene Hamm and was made into an 18 hole course. The course has 4 sets of Tees and features champion Bermuda greens. Roanoke has a rolling terrain with generous fairways that are lined by tall pines and big oak trees. Roanoke is a beautiful layout with small greens that can be tough to putt depending on the hole locations.

Roanoke River Paddle Camping Trail

Finding uncrowded, peaceful getaways is always a challenge for outdoor enthusiasts. The Roanoke River Paddle Trail now provides a way to explore one of the Southeast’s great roadless wilderness areas — the lower Roanoke River floodplain. Come visit this undiscovered area where black bears amble through ancient swamps, river otters frolic on riverbanks, colorful songbirds trill from the treetops, and powerful bald eagles soar overhead.

Morningstar Nature Refuge

1967 Meadow Branch Road, Williamston, NC 27892

Owned and operated by well-known eastern North Carolina author, columnist, naturalist and wildlife biologist, Gail L. Roberson, this small, private nature center is the only one of its kind in the country, according to the US Fish and Wildlife Permitting Department. The refuge surrounds Roberson's home in the countryside of Martin County situated about halfway between Raleigh and the ocean at Nags Head. There is no fee for any program at the refuge or to tour the 10 trails.

North Carolina Estuarium

The North Carolina Estuarium is an educational center that spotlights the importance of the state's coastal rivers and sounds. Its focuses on Washington's Pamlico/Tar River estuary, which is the second-largest one in the nation. Science, art, nature and history come together for a great experience for the visitor.

Deadwood Family Center/Restaurant

2302 Eds Grocery Road, Williamston, NC 27892

Deadwood is a family-owned Western-themed family fun center that contains numerous attractions for the whole family. In addition to scenic mini train rides and a carousel, the park also includes a miniature golf course and low-key rollercoaster for the kids. Live music and shows are presented in the dinner theater, and the banquet hall is home to dancing and other special events. Deadwood is located a few miles southwest of Williamston, in the Bear Grass area of Martin County.

Port of Plymouth Museum

302 East Water Street, Plymouth, NC 27962

This nationally recognized museum packs a lot of history into a small space. Impressive displays of Civil War cannon balls, bullets, buttons, buckles, guns, pictures, and thousands of battle artifacts line walls. Loaned items from the Historic Society of Buffalo, New York, the Smithsonian Institute, and others are often displayed here, too. The Museum also has a gift shop with books, prints and many other items of interest to history-minded visitors.
