Warsaw Rising Museum

The interactive museum is a tribute of Warsaw's residents to those who fought and died for independent Poland and its free capital. The permanent exhibition depicts fighting and everyday life during the Rising 1944. Visitors are guided through the subsequent stages of the Rising until the time when the insurgents left Warsaw.

Station Museum

The Railway Museum offers permanent and temporary exhibitions as well as lectures, workshops and open-air events. The idea is to promote knowledge about railway systems in Poland.

Wola Theatre

The district branch of the Dramatic Theatre in Warsaw was started in 1976 by Tadeusz Lomnicki, one of the most notable stage and film artists of his time in Poland.

Palace of Culture and Science

A notable high-rise building in central Warsaw. Constructed in 1955, it houses various public and cultural institutions such as cinemas, theatres, libraries, sports clubs, university faculties and authorities of the Polish Academy of Science. In 2007 it was enlisted in the Registry of Objects of Cultural Heritage.

Warsaw Philharmonic

The National Philharmonic in Warsaw hosts many important music events like the International Chopin Piano Competition and the Warsaw Autumn Festival.

Keret House

Żelazna 74, Warsaw, 00-875

The Keret House is an art installation in the form of an insert between two existing buildings, representing different historical periods in Warsaw's history. The architect Jakub Szczesny designed a House, which, despite its microscale caused by the size of the plot, constitutions a functional space- a place to live. Szczęsny invited an Israeli writer of Polish descent - Etgar Keret to live and work there. It is open to public, though for visits, please contact the House one week in advance.

Warsaw Old Town

The Old Town is a building tourism hub, with cobblestone alleys and medieval buildings reconstructed after WWII. At its heart is Rynek Starego Miasta, a busy square lined with burgher houses and upscale Polish eateries. Nearby, St. John's Archcathedral dates back to the 14th century and hosts summer concerts. The area is also home to the restored apartments and manicured gardens of the Royal Castle.
