Ranching history is featured in the Waggoner Room. Evolution of the famous Waggoner Ranch is depicted in the mural painted by Adrian Martinez. The Electra Biggs Sculputre Studio Exhibit hosts the largest collection of the art of this renowned sculptress.

Located NE of Vernon near the original Western Trail cattle crossing, also known as Doan's Crossing. Many historical markers retrace the original trail.

This State Park is home to a nice lake, lots of hiking and biking trails, a herd of longhorns and buffalo.

Our newest edition to the city, a very nice covered arena that brings ropers, barrel racers, cutters, and horse shows to our city.

Vernon College is our two-year college. My degree programs are available. The college has an outstanding baseball and rodeo team.

Located south of town, Lake Kemp has incredible fishing and other water activities.

One of the largest ranches in Texas, the Waggoner Ranch is the home of the late, great PocoBueno. The ranch still boasts about its equine operation as well as its cattle production.
