The Hayner mansion was built in 1914 by the widow of William Hayner, the former owner of the Hayner Distillery Company. With its wood and adobe exterior, beveled glass, marble fireplaces, ballroom, wood trim and carvings, and stained glass, the building itself is truly a work of art.
It served as the Public Library from 1943 to 1976, but has since been restored and in its new incarnation is known as the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center.
