Nicholls State University, located in Thibodaux, La., is an accredited regional university with a diverse population of about 5,900 traditional and nontraditional students. The /university offers more than 60 degree programs, over 100 student organizations and 15 Division I athletic teams.

Fletcher Technical Community College (Fletcher) is a comprehensive community college with open admissions and open access to all individuals interested in education and training opportunities. Fletcher offers a variety of programs that lead to degrees at the associate degree level and the technical diploma. Fletcher also offers many industry based certifications and certificate programs. Fletcher has over 30 programs.

It is a multi-purpose facility located in Thibodaux. The auditorium has a seating capacity of 3,500. It serves as a multi-purpose arena, accommodating various events and activities. The main features of the facility include a main arena suitable for hosting events such as basketball and volleyball games along with a meeting room, which makes it convenient for small gatherings, meetings, and exhibitions. It is named in honor of Warren J. Harang Jr., who served as the long-time mayor of Thibodaux.

The Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department invites you and your family to join tens of thousands of families and friends at the annual Thibodaux Firemen’s Fair, southeast Louisiana’s largest and hottest fundraising fair. Come enjoy delicious food, cold drinks, hopping live music, plenty of rides and games, and support our volunteer firefighters. The Thibodaux Firemen’s Fair will be held annually Thursday – Sunday on the weekend of the first Sunday in May at the fire department’s fairgrounds.
