The event known as The Roswell Incident, the crash of an alleged flying saucer, the recovery of debris and bodies, and the ensuing coverup by the military were of such magnitude and so shrouded in mystery that 60 years later there are still more questions than answers. Books have been written, TV documentaries have been filmed. Witnesses have come forward. and the debate continues. The Internation UFO Museum and research center explores all sides of the Incident.
Bottomless State Park
The oldest state park in New Mexico, it is comprised of nine lakes along the Pecos River. Formed when limestone caves similar to Carlsbad collapsed, the lakes range from 17 to 90 feet deep. Activities include diving, swimming, fishing, camping, and bird watching
Spring River Park and Zoo
A small zoo in Spring River Park includes the Capitan trail featuring native animals; the chirldrens zoo area with child friendly animals; the visitor service area with concession, miniture train and antique wodden horse carousel. The only free zoo in New Mexico
