Built in 1858, this lovely home is an excellent example of the Italianate architecture that was popular in the Midwest in the mid-late 1800s. The Paul W. Dillon Home, also known as the Colonel Edward N. Kirk House, is located in Sterling, Illinois. It was home to businessman Paul W. Dillon and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.The Dillon Home functions primarily as a museum but weddings can also be hosted on the grounds.

See where the 40th president was born and spent his early years. The Birthplace of Ronald Reagan, also known as the Graham Building, is located in an apartment on the second floor of a late 19th-century commercial building in Tampico, Illinois, United States. This restored and furnished apartment includes historical photos, letters and memorabilia. The building was built in 1896 and housed a tavern from that time until 1915.

Be transported back in time when you walk in the front door of the home where the 40th President and his family lived in the early 1920s. The home has been fully restored with furnishings of the period and will provide knowledgeable tour guides to share stories about the house and the family. Admission includes a special video presentation, a guided tour of the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home, and access to the Visitors Center and Gift Shop. Open Daily between April 1st and October 31st. Firefighting enthusiasts will enjoy this history-packed museum that includes a variety of memorabilia and apparatus. The museum offers free tours and fun family events throughout the year. Family fun days will take place Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day. From 10am-2pm there will be fire truck rides, inflatable fun, firefighting activities and free lunch!You will enjoy viewing the firefighting apparatus, toy fire trucks, and many different types of equipment. , Open May through October.

Morrison Rockwood State Park is an IL state park on 1,164 acres in Whiteside County. Choose from a variety of recreational opportunities. Beautiful Lake Carlton, a stream-fed reservoir, features an abundance of ducks and geese and is considered a prime location for a family outing at the Lakeview picnic area, fishing, hunting, hiking or simply observing the abundance of wildlife. They have boat rentals, bait shop and Concession stand.

A spring fed man made lake with a nice sand beach and a lot of blow-up units that are on the lake that can be climbed on. There is also a go-kart track. Selmis has a varitey of flowers and corn in the summer and in the fall have a pumpkin patch, haunted house, petting zoo,and fun activities for kids.
