The Rideau Canal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that stretches all the way from Ottawa to Kingston, over 200 km away. During the warmer months, you can go boating and kayaking on the canal or take a walk on the path. But a winter visit is a real treat: the canal turns into the world's largest skating rink with over 7 kilometers of maintained ice through downtown Ottawa!
