Toledo's new ballpark, Fifth Third Field, continues the great trend of bringing parks back to the downtown area of larger cities. In April of 2002, the Toledo Mud Hens Baseball Club played their first game in their new ballpark, Fifth Third Field. The state-of-the-art 8,943 seat facility in the heart of downtown replaced Ned Skeldon Stadium, the home of the Hens since 1965. Fans have flocked to Fifth Third Field in the years since the park has opened.

The Huntington Center recently opened in downtown Toledo in 2009. The Huntington Center was build at a total cost of $105 million. The arena is in the process of trying to become one of the first LEED sports arenas. Huntington Center tickets seat up to 8,300 for concerts. The arena has also been called in the past the Lucas County Arena and Seagate Center. The main function of the Huntington Center is concerts and traveling performers.

The ARCA Series has raced at Toledo Speedway since 1963. Toledo Speedway has long been known for being one of the best short tracks in the country with its ½ mile semi banked oval and ¼ mile figure eight in the middle. ARCA sanctioned stock car racing on Friday nights, May thru September. Great family fun!
