If you're a golf enthusiast, a visit to Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg, Nebraska, is a must. If you or anyone in your group loves trains, don't miss the Golden Spike Tower. This eight-story overlook gives panoramic views of Union Pacific's Bailey Yard, the world's biggest railroad classification yard. Roughly 10,000 railcars are sorted here every day! Explore exhibits on railroad history, including the North Plate WWII Canteen and the Orphan Trains. Chat with the tower's volunteers, many former railroad employees, to learn more about the inner world of trains.

Get the wiggles out at Cody Park, a family-friendly space alongside the North Platte River. You'll find all sorts of things to do and see here, including a wildlife sanctuary, kiddie rides, and the Cody Park Railroad Museum, home to historic locomotives and train cars.
