Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is 40 miles long, from Munising to Grand Marais. It has hundreds of hiking trails with beautiful views of many waterfalls and stunning views of the Pictured Rocks from atop 200 foot cliffs. Hiking trails range from easy paved 1/4 mile hikes to difficult 40 mile long trails. There are also 3 beautiful public beaches located within the park.
Munising Falls
There is a paved 1/4 mile walk to view Munising Falls. There are several viewing platforms that allow you to view the falls from above and below. The Falls are about 40 feet tall.
Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tours
1204 Commercial St., Munising, MI 49862
This is a wonderful boat tour that takes you around Munising Bay, Murrays Bay and partly around Grand Island. It goes over several shipwrecks in the area and is very informative.
Snowmobile Trails
There are thousand of miles of groomed trails in the Munising area.
Pictured Rocks Boat Tour

This is one of the best ways to view the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The boat tour lasts from 2 to 3 hours and takes you past the most stunning views in the park. It is very informative.

Munising Cross Country Ski Trails offers trails from easy to difficult. The difficult trails offer some great views of Lake Superior and natural ice formations.

Pictured Rocks Golf Course

This is an eighteen hole golf course that is open to the public.
Wagner Falls
This is a beautiful little waterfall that is about 15 feet tall and about 25 feet wide that is in a beautiful natural wooded setting and always has good waterflow. It is a short easy 1/2 mile walk through the woods.
Eben Ice Caves
In the winter time, the water seeping out of the cliffs forms spectacular ice formations and caves. It can be a difficult walk to get to them as the trail tends to become iced over, but is well worth the effort.
Sand Point Beach
This is a beautiful little public beach that was voted one of the most scenic in the entire U.P. region. It has bathrooms and picnic tables and has a stunning view of Munising Bay, Grand Island, and Lake Superior. It is a wonderful place to watch the sunset.
Face in the Rock Historical Site
This is a historical site where an Indian Chief was carved into the natural sandstone cliff.

There are many lighthouses in the area.
Miners Castle Rock
Miners Castle Rock is the icon for the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It is a short paved walk to the viewing platform, with an additional walk with many steps available to a viewing platform on the rock. It is 100 feet tall and is a wonderful unique sandstone cliff formation.
Miners Beach
Miners Beach is one mile long and offers wonderful views of Lake Superior and Pictured Rocks. It has bathrooms, picnic tables and grills.
