Founded in 1888, Utah State University is a public institution that serves approximately 28,000 students. Started as an agriculture-focused school, USU faculty and students run important experiments involving plant life and the natural elements. Grab an Aggies Blue Bike and explore everything the campus offers, from the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art to the Museum of Anthropology. There’s lots to see at this historic campus!

No visit to our corner of Utah is complete without a drive through Logan Canyon. This beautiful canyon connects Cache Valley to Bear Lake Valley, and the road through the canyon is a National Scenic Byway. Stop at the many trailheads and outlooks along the way to dive even deeper into Utah’s natural wonders. In the winter, enjoy skiing at the Beaver Mountain Ski Area. The spring and summer are peak wildflower seasons in the canyon, and fall brings a blaze of autumn colors.

Bear Lake has earned the moniker “Caribbean of the Rockies,” and for good reason. The crystal-clear blue water is as inviting—if not as warm—as the beaches of the Caribbean. Hike, mountain bike, or drive your way to the summit of Mount Logan while you’re staying at our Logan, Utah hotel! You’ll have to use an off-road vehicle if you wish to drive the trail to the top, though. At 9,714 feet in elevation, Mount Logan has one of the more prominent peaks in the Wasatch Range with stunning views of Cache Valley, the Bear River Range, and even the Great Salt Lake Basin on a clear day.
