Six Flags Over Georgia

Located just off I-20 west of Atlanta, Six Flags Over Georgia is the largest regional theme park in the Southeast. The park boasts ten heart-pounding roller coasters headlined by the Goliath, ranked as one of the top coasters in the world and Dare Devil Dive, vertical coaster that sends riders through 3 inversions. Guests can cool off on Thunder River, a wild rafting adventure or splash around Skull Island. Three interactive children's areas, BUGS BUNNY World, Carousel Hill and Whistlestop Park.

Sweetwater Creek State Park

Sweetwater Creek State Park is a peaceful tract of wilderness only minutes from downtown Atlanta. Park rangers lead informative hikes to park areas throughout the year. The 215-acre George Sparks Reservoir is popular with anglers and provides a pretty setting for feeding ducks and picnicking. During warmer months, the park rents fishing boats, canoes and pedal boats. The Visitor Center features exhibits on the area’s history, wildlife displays, trail maps, snacks and a gift shop.
