Located just off I-20 west of Atlanta, Six Flags Over Georgia is the largest regional theme park in the Southeast. The park boasts ten heart-pounding roller coasters headlined by the Goliath, ranked as one of the top coasters in the world and Dare Devil Dive, vertical coaster that sends riders through 3 inversions. Guests can cool off on Thunder River, a wild rafting adventure or splash around Skull Island. Three interactive children's areas, BUGS BUNNY World, Carousel Hill and Whistlestop Park.

Sweetwater Creek State Park is a peaceful tract of wilderness only minutes from downtown Atlanta. Park rangers lead informative hikes to park areas throughout the year. The 215-acre George Sparks Reservoir is popular with anglers and provides a pretty setting for feeding ducks and picnicking. During warmer months, the park rents fishing boats, canoes and pedal boats. The Visitor Center features exhibits on the area’s history, wildlife displays, trail maps, snacks and a gift shop.

Georgia Aquarium provides an entertaining, engaging and educational experience inspiring stewardship in conservation, research and the appreciation for the animal world.

The West End historic district is located just southwest of downtown Atlanta. The community dates backs to the 1830' s and features restored period homes and Victorian cottages. The Wren's Nest House Museum was the home of Joel Chandler Harris, author of the Uncle Remus stories, and Hammonds House Museum features African American art. The Atlanta University Center is the country's largest concentraction of African'American colleges.

The area of Sweet Auburn served as the thriving center of Atlanta's Black Enterprise from the 1890's to the 1940's. At the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, explore his birth home, historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, and the The King Center, where Dr. King's Noble Peace Prize is displayed. The crypt and graveside of Dr. King and his wife, Coretta Scott King, are also located here.

Six city blocks of Underground Atlanta have been transformed into a subterranean marketplace offering guided historic tours, more than 100 speciality stores, amd Kenny's Alley music and nightlife district.
