Main Cathedral - Se

Carmo Convent and Archaelogical Museum

The Convento do Carmo is a former convent of the Order of the Carmelites of the Old Observance, and was founded by D. Nuno Álvares Pereira, the Constable of Portugal, in 1389, with Gothic architecture. The Archaeological Museum of Carmo, was founded in 1863 and was the first museum of Art and Archeology of the country.
