The historic mining Town of Crested Butte is a wonderful day trip from Gunnison. Shop downtown in wonderfully unique stores, enjoy world class cuisine, and explore the mountains (hiking, mountain biking and skiing).

Monarch Mountain is what you expect from a real Colorado ski area featuring abundant natural snow (350+ inches). You can walk from your car right to the lifts, prices are reasonable, and the runs flow naturally back to the base area.

Waunita Hot Springs offers a full program of ranch activities - horseback riding, cookouts, rafting and hot springs.
