Featuring exhibits on the cotton industry and the local history of Hunt County Texas. A special exhibit is on permanent display concerning the life and deeds of Audie Murphy, the Hunt County native who won the Congressional Medal of Honor in France during the Second World War and his subsequent film career.

The rolling hills of Cooper Lake State Park offer spectacular views of Cooper Lake, from the steeper hills of South Sulphur Unit to the more gradual slopes of the Doctor's Creek Unit. The park is centrally located to surrounding communities, including Paris, Cooper, Greenville, Sulphur Springs and Commerce as well as the urban centers of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and Texarkana.

Lake Fork Reservoir is located 35 miles east of Greenville on the on Lake Fork Creek, a major tributary of the Sabine River between Quitman, Alba, Emory, and Yantis, Texas. At 27,690 acres and 315 miles of shoreline, Lake Fork is one of the 10 largest lakes in Texas. Completed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife in 1980, Lake Fork was designed a premier bass fishing lake and currently holds records for 34 out of the Top 50 largemouth bass caught in Texas.

This lake was built for municipal water supply but also features a lakeside power generating plant. Much of the north end retains its original standing timber. Shoreline areas have some vegetation. Water is fairly turbid, rather fertile and a maximum of 40 feet deep.

Located some 50 miles east of Dallas and 12 miles south of Greenville (Lake Tawakon Map), the reservoir's primary purpose is to provide water for the surrounding communities and the City of Dallas. In addition the lake provides water-oriented recreation for much of central and northeast Texas. Fishing is the primary recreational sport with catfish being the lake specialty.

The golf course at Webb Hill Country Club is located on 230 beautiful wooded, rolling acres between Greenville and Wolfe City. It was built in 1969 using a program started by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to rejuvenate smaller towns because people were moving from small towns to large cities and he was concerned about the impact of losing our rural heritage. The course was designed by Leon Howard.

Oak Creek Country Club is a golf course that is enormously loved by residents of Greenville. The welcoming atmosphere and the wonderful facilities are in themselves incentive enough to come here.

The 9-hole "Wright Park" course at the Wright Park Municipal Golf Course facility in Greenville, TX features 2,878 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35. The course rating is 70.0 and it has a slope rating of 113 on Bermuda Grass. Opened in 2002.
