The pilgrimage church, named "Ave Maria" after the initial words of the Biblical
greeting, was built between 1716 and 1718. It is a gem of the German late baroque.
Rich stucco ornaments and elaborate paintings glorify the secret of the Virgin
Mary, graciously filled with divine motherhood. The showpiece of Ave Maria is her
high altar.
Castle Filseck

The current castle emerged from a castle that was probably built around 1230 by
Earl Egino von Aichelberg. Today is the Filseck Palace a closed four-wing building
in the Renaissance style with a vaulted cellar from the Staufer period.
Gottlieb Daimler's birth house

Gottlieb Daimler was born on 17 March 1834 above a bakery and wine bar in
Höllgasse in Schorndorf. He lived there with his parents Johannes and Wilhelmine
Friederike Däumler and his four brothers and sisters until 1853.
Adelberg Abbey

Adelberg Abbey was a Premonstratensian monastery built in 1178 in Adelberg near
Göppingen (Baden-Württemberg). For 300 years, a convent and a choir convent
existed side by side. The monastery of the Order of Reform was promoted
intensively in its early phase by the Staufer, who initially also provided the bailiffs.
Adelberg competed with the neighboring Benedictine monastery Lorch. Her most
famous student was Johannes Kepler.
The Fort of Welzheim

The Fort of Welzheim were two Roman military camps on the Vorderen Limes, a
section of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage “Upper Germanic-Rhaetian Limes”
in the area of today's city of Welzheim in the Rems-Murr district in Baden-
Württemberg.
Lorch Abbey

The Lorch Monastery is a former Benedictine abbey in Lorch in Baden-
Württemberg. It was the Staufer house monastery. The Benedictine monastery
Lorch was founded around 1102 by the Staufer Duke Friedrich I. and his family.
The form and statics of the celestial storm combine the art of engineers with that
Fine-tuned architecture. The tower itself has a total height of exactly 38.60
m and has 209 steps. The tower is built on a 5.60 by 5.60 m concrete base with a foundation. The so-called outer tower consists of 20 cm thick cross-laminated timber. The facade of the tower is clad with larch wood shingles (over 3700 pieces) and with the so-called mirror tiles (1300 pieces).
