Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is located just West of Charlotte at the NC/SC state line, outside the town of Belmont. The Garden is easily accessible from interstates 85 & 77. The Garden is placed upon 400 acres along the banks of Lake Wylie south of Belmont. The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden offers 110 acres of rolling meadows and woodlands and is being developed as one of the most beautiful gardens in the world.

The largest flying American flag in the world, this 7,410-square-foot flag is 65 feet tall, 114 feet wide, and weighs 180 pounds. The flag is visible for 30 miles from its location.

Kings Mountain National Military Park offers plenty to do for both the historian in you and the nature enthusiast, alike. For the historian plans on spending at least 2.5 hours to take in all the history the park has to offer. For the nature enthusiast, spend as little or as much time as you like exploring our hiking trails or maybe spend the night in our backcountry campsite. Kings Mountain NMP is FREE to Enjoy! Metrolina Tradeshow Expo is one of Charlotte's largest and most versatile event facilities, with climate-controlled buildings, outdoor exhibit space, and on-site parking. We also host private receptions and parties. The customer parking area can accommodate thousands of vehicles, and parking is free for most events. Attend concerts, car shows, RV shows, truck shows, auctions, and motorcycle shows. On the property there is outside lighting and electrical hook-ups along with camping onsite.

Mint Museum combines inspiring architecture with groundbreaking exhibitions to provide visitors with unparalleled educational and cultural experiences. Located in the heart of Charlotte's burgeoning uptown, the Mint Museum Uptown is an integral part of the Levine Center for the Arts, a cultural campus that includes the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, the Harvey B. The Hall is fueled with more than 50 interactive experiences like tire-changing stations, realistic race simulators, a broadcast booth and even a Kids Zone where children can be wide open. Gastonia's Schiele Museum of Natural History features the largest collection of mounted land mammals in the Southeast, from common raccoons to guge buffalo. Experience galleries with vivid natural history exhibits, plus outdoor recreations of a Cataba Indian Village and an 18th Century Farm. The U.S. National Whitewater Center is the world’s premier outdoor adventure and environmental education center. Situated on roughly 400 acres of woodlands, the USNWC fosters an environment for people to come together to play outside. Whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, eco trekking, zip line, 14 miles of hiking, walking & running, rental equipment available, conference center, and Rivers Edge & Grill. The church at Belmont Abbey, completed in 1893, was once the only abbey cathedral in the nation. Located on the 650-acre campus of Belmont Abbey College, its beautiful painted-glass windows won four gold medals in the 1892 World's Fair. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
