BEAR LAKE

This resort area is known for excellent boating, sailing, water-skiing and wakeboarding. Numerous boat ramps are located around the lake, to make launching your boat a breeze. Activites ranges from Personal Watercraft, Swimming, Boating, Water-Skiing/waterboarding, back country riding/ATVs, Sailing, Camping & Picnicking, Fishing Golfing, and horse back riding.

B.E.A.R. Parkway

Nearly 3 miles of foot trails are within the park limits. This includes 1.2 miles of asphalt-surfaced trail as well as an arched foot bridge across the Bear River, allowing access to a natural area. Another 1.7 miles of packed gravel trails are on the west side of the river. The foot trails on the park also double as cross-country ski trails in the winter. Wildlife viewing, Bison & Elk Pastures, and Visitor Center are available along the trail.

Bear River State Park

Bear River is a year-round park that offers nearly 300 acres that are ideal for picnicking, hiking, wildlife viewing, group activities, bicycling, skiing, rollerblading, remote control cars and many other activities. The park is home to a small head of captive bison and elk kept for public viewing. Three miles of foot trails are within park limits. Numerous other trails are maintained for those who ski and snowshoe. This park is for day-use only: no overnight camping is allowed.

Devil's Tower National Monument

Also known as Bears Lodge, it is a sacred site for many American Indians. President Theodore Roosevelt proclaimed Devils Tower the first national monument in 1906.

Mirror Lake Scenic Byway

Flaming Gorge Resort

Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area contains 207,363 acres of land and water, almost equally divided between Utah and Wyoming. It is a huge reservoir providing outstanding opportunity for boating, fishing, skiing, jet skiing, houseboating and other water sports. Five full-service marinas offer launching, storage and maintenance facilities. The reservoir surface water is cool even during the heat of summer. That means it provides excellent habitat for trout, and is cool for water skiers.
