Green Lakes State Park's outstanding features are its two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest. Both Round and Green Lakes are meromictic lakes, which means that there is no fall and spring mixing of surface and bottom waters. Such lakes have a high potential for evidence of ancient plant and animal life. Another special feature of the park is the 18-hole Green Lakes State Park Golf course, visitors can snowshoe in winter, and there are 10 miles of trails that cross-country skiers can use.

The New York State Fairgrounds hosts hundreds of events throughout the year, drawing an estimated 1 million people to an incredible variety of non-fair attractions.

With the combined facilities of the Convention Center at Oncenter, the War Memorial Arena at Oncenter and the Civic Center Theaters at Oncenter, we have all the space you need for your next event. Conveniently located in the center of New York State, the Oncenter Complex is easy to get to.

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is home to more than 900 animals of all shapes and sizes. From the smallest animal (milkweed bug) to the largest (Asian elephant), the Zoo offers unique viewing opportunities for its guests.

The Everson Museum of Art seeks to inspire, educate and enrich, integrating art into people's lives through direct encounters with its collections and exhibitions. It is internationally recognized for its extensive and significant collection of ceramics, pioneering art video collection and distinctive structural design by the noted architect I.M. Pei.

Syracuse Stage, a professional theatre in residence at SyracuseUniversity, creates innovative, adventurous and entertaining productions, including new plays and bold interpretations of classics and musicals.

The Lakeview Amphitheater is an outdoor concert venue located on the shores of Onondaga Lake in the Town of Geddes, near the western edge of Syracuse, New York. It is an extension of the Empire Expo Center, home to the Great New York State Fair.

The SRC Arena and Events Center is located on the campus of Onondaga Community College. The 60,000 square foot facility has a six-lane track, three flexible courts, meeting rooms, and seating for up to 6,500 people. The Allyn Hall gym can seat an additional 1,400 people. The SRC Arena and Events Center hosts events for College athletics, students, Section III Athletics, and special events and functions for the campus and the community.

University Hospital has long held the distinction of caring for the most seriously ill and injured in the state.
