Cardiff Castle is an extremely popular tourist attraction, situated right in the heart of the city centre. The Castle's Keep dates back 900 years to Norman times. In 1866 the castle underwent a massive rebuild by the architect William Burges, who created its current spectacular medieval Gothic theme. The new Interpretation Centre, which opened in 2008, tells the extraordinary episodes in the history of Cardiff Castle.

The Principality Stadium boasts a UEFA 5-Star rating and has hosted matches from two Rugby World Cups including the Final in 1999, witnessed two Wales Grand Slam successes in the RBS Six Nations, staged six FA Cup Finals plus hosted major artists of music with a plethora of major concerts and motorsports events on its CV. The stadium was recently renamed from the Millennium Stadium which hosted some of the games for RWC 2015. A must see stadium with daily tours through out the year.

Cardiff International White Water (Welsh: Dŵr Gwyn Rhyngwladol Caerdydd) is an Olympic standard white water rafting centre based at the Cardiff International Sports Village in Cardiff Bay. The centre opened in March 2010 after taking two years to build the £13.3m venue, which is the first on-demand white water centre in the UK. It also houses a high ropes facility and indoor surfing. Many of the fire and rescue teams from accross the country use this as a training facility.

Wales is now the first country in the world to have a formal trail the whole way around its coast. The Wales Coastal Path, which is 870 miles long passes alongside the hotel on the Atlantic Wharf Dock, which makes the hotel an ideal stop over point.
