Storybook Land and the Land of Oz are located at Wylie Park. Open from April 15 to October 15, people of all ages can enjoy a world of imagination inspired by familiar nursery rhymes. Over 60 different attractions, plus an animal display, visitor center, and a large castle that holds activities and events throughout the season.

With more than 210 acres of camping, picnicking, playgrounds, beach, golf, softball, volleyball, horseshoes, and recreational trails for the entire family to enjoy. Home of Storybook Land and the Land of Oz, as well as Wylie Lake, Thunder Road with bumper boats, go-karts, mini golf, and laser tag, and a zoo with a variety of animals.

The Dacotah Prairie Museum is a two story learning center with permanent and rotating collections on exhibit. Most notable areas include a wildlife gallery with over 50 mountain animals, the telegraph exhibit, prairie diorama, and new dawn on the prairie.

The entire family will enjoy the leisure pool with a zero depth entry, multi-level play structures, water slides, and interactive features that dump, spill, and squirt water. The aquatic center has a water slide with a tube slide, an open flume slide, and an enclosed body flume slide that provide exhilarating rides. The lazy river is a family favorite. The aquatic center also features a lap pool with diving boards, drop slides and float-able play features.

The Award winning Northern State University is home to the Center of Excellence in International Business and Entrepreneurship in South Dakota. The campus has numerous art galleries, green space, historic buildings and modern facilities.

Mina Lake has plenty of room for boating, fishing, and swimming. There is a campground, hiking trails, and picnic areas at the recreational area.

Richmond Lake offers three separate areas allowing visitors to camp, swim, boat, and fish. The facility gives campers 200 acres of wildlife viewing and 1,000 acres of lake.

The Kuhnert Arboretum allows visitors to cultivate relations between people, trees, plants and nature in a setting that provides opportunities for education and discovery.
