Lake Monroe Park is one of Volusia County's oldest and most popular parks. The park reopened to the public in July 2004 after a $1.2 million renovation and improvement project. The project included new restrooms, renovations to the entrance road, floating docks, picnic pavilions, improved parking and a trailhead for the Lake Monroe-Gemini Springs-DeBary Hall trail.

Seminole Towne Center is a wonderful climate controlled indoor mall, conveniently located off I-4 or SR 417 in Sanford, Florida. Seminole Towne Center is the main shopping destination for northern Seminole and western Volusia Counties, serving the nearby communities of Sanford, Lake Mary, DeBary, Deltona and Deland.

The St. Johns River Cruise is considered the most popular nature oriented tour in Florida. The vessel, the "Native II" was specially designed to ply the shallow backwaters of the historic St. Johns River.
