Caddo Lake is one of only two natural lakes in Texas. Caddo Lake is a 35,000-acre maze of sloughs, bogs, bayous, and "boat roads", and is best known for its exotic flora, fauna, and excellent fishing. The Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge was formed in 2009 and has more than 7,000 acres of forest lands that shelter magnificent old-growth, hardwood, bottomland forest, and is a home to over 216 resident bird species.

The Museum owns one of the largest archival and artifact collections relating to the early settlement of Northeast Texas.

The Josey Ranch is a world renowned training facility for barrell racers. R.E. & Martha Josey operate the ranch and offer their facility to all horse lovers. They have 4 clinics each year and have a complete Western Store on property.

Lake O' the Pines is northwest of Marshall and a popular fishing destination brimming with bass, catfish and crappie. With more than 18,000 acres of water that touches five East Texas counties, Lake o'the Pines is a major attraction in East Texas.

The convention center boasts comfortable seating for 1,600 people and hosts a variety of concerts, comedy shows, lectures, as well as other community events.

The Michelson Museum of Art is home to paintings from the estate of the late Leo Michelson. These wonderful works of art are on display as well as other artists creations from around the world. Many local artists participate in the development of the Arts in Marshall and in continuing the growth of this wonderful Museum.

The Starr Family Home State Historic Site, a Texas Historical Commission property, is located on 3.2 Acres near downtown Marshall. The site interprets four generations of Starr family history and the 1871 family home of Frank Starr-Maplecroft mansion.
