The Burg Linn-Castle is a 900-year-old moated castle and is considered a Krefeld landmark. It has a diverse range of excursions, including a museum, a Café, the surrounding nature and various events and demonstrations.

The family-friendly Krefeld Landscape Zoo features over 1000 exotic and native animals from around 170 different species. In particular, butterflies, as well as apes, big cats, African savannah dwellers and tropical birds can be seen in the zoo. The zoo is open from March to October daily from 09 am untill 7 pm and from November to February daily from 9 am until 5 pm.

Yayla Arena is a multifunctional arena in Krefeld. It hosts various events such as: ice hockey games and other sporting events, concerts and television recordings.

The observation tower is located on the Hülser Berg, the highest mountain in the city of Krefeld. There are various hiking trails to the Hülser Bruch, to the Eremiten-spring and to the restaurant Krefelder Sprudel.

The art museum in Krefeld is located in two country houses in their original state from 1927, where various temporary exhibitions can be found.

The Schwanenmarkt shopping center is located in downtown Krefeld and offers 12,000 m² of sales space with around 60 retail stores. Perfect for a shopping day in Krefeld.

At the racecourse, you can watch horse races on the grandstands or go out to eat in the adjoining gastronomy. There are also exhibitions around the racecourse, such as the Krefeld Garden World and other events, parties or matinees. Unique to this racecourse is the golf course in the middle of the oval.

The Stadtwald in Krefeld is an extensive park with beautiful nature, a pond with boat rental, a playground, hiking trails and numerous lawns that invite you to linger. In the Stadtwaldhaus next door is a beer garden and sometimes live music.

Water fun, sports and entertainment await you at Elfrather See. On an area of about 138 hectares there is a regatta course, a jetty for sailors, a bird island and numerous green areas. Perfect for a hot summer day.

In the old town of Düsseldorf there are more than 260 restaurants and bars, among others you can have a drink on the Rhine promenade on the casemates with a great view of the Rhine. There are also many sights and exhibitions in the historic town centre, such as the castle tower on Burgplatz or the town hall.
