Trinity College Cambridge Walking Tour

Jesus Green Lido

Jesus Green Swimming Pool is a Lido situated on Jesus Green in Cambridge. Opened in 1923, it is one of the few remaining examples of the lidos built across the country in the 1920s — unheated open air pools with Sauna, sunbathing space and paved one side with grass on the other. It opens for public swimming between May and September every year.

Riverside Park & Swimming Pool

Follow the riverside footpath upstream from Laundress Green to reach Sheep's Fen and Lammas Land, parks which go from short-cut grass to cattle-grazed riverside meadows, leading on to the Paradise Fen nature reserve. From May to September, the open-air Sheep's Green Pool is ideal for young swimmers (though not wheelchair accessible). Nearby there is also a paddling pool and a playground with swings, slides and climbing frames.

Cherry Hinton Hall

Cherry Hinton Hall is a Grade II listed Victorian country house in southeast Cambridge. It’s set in a beautiful green park, which is open to the public. The wide-open grass spaces include a play area and water play area for children and young families, and there are public toilets on site.
