Wild birds flock to the Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary during their spring and fall migrations. A sign reads: "The Canada Geese will have all left for their nesting grounds in James / Hudson Bay by April 15. They will start to return with their young in mid-September." Several birds are in the roadside field, feeding on corn and barley before resuming their flights. We hear their loud honking, but need binoculars to view them up close. (Visitors can't pass the yellow rope surrounding the field.)

Although immaculately groomed, Mic Mac Park is perhaps best known today as the home of both the Windsor Athletic Association and the Windsor Chiefs Baseball Club. Ambassador Golf Club is the Premier public golf facility in the Windsor & Essex County region. Ambassador Golf Club is a par 71 public golf course that has already been aknowledged by leading golf writers from across the country. The club was ranked as a "Top 50" golf course in Ontario for 2009. In 2008 it was the #1 "Best Bang For The Buck" in Ontario.

Windsor Spitfires - The WFCU Centre offers quality recreational and entertainment opportunities in a 6,500 spectator rink, three community ice rinks, a new community centre and a senior centre. The entire facility was designed to host special events, concerts and multi-level competitive tournaments. One facility with four rinks provides a convenient focal point for multi-day, multi-league events. The adjacent Community Centre includes a sports gymnasium, a leisure gymnasium and a reception hall.

The City of Windsor has constructed a signature family aquatic complex.
