Washington Avenue Expansion

The buildings on Washington Avenue date from the late 19th century to the early 1920s and exhibit a variety of popular architectural styles. In the 1990s the city began to refurbish the buildings and redevelop the area. There are several shops, boutiques, dining and nightlife to suit just about anyone.

Missouri Botanical Garden

Founded in 1859, Missouri Botanical Garden is the nations oldest botanical garden in continuous operation and a National Historic Landmark. The Garden is a center for botanical research and science education, as well as an oasis in the city of St. Louis.
