The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is that part of the University of Nebraska system which serves as both the land-grant and the comprehensive public University for the State of Nebraska. The Sheldon Museum of Art houses both the Sheldon Art Association collection founded in 1888, and the University of Nebraska collection, initiated in 1929. The Bob Devaney Sports Center is a sports complex on the campus of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States that includes a 13,595-seat multi-purpose arena, a 1,000-seat covered 25-yard swimming and diving facility and a 5,000-seat covered track and field facility that features a 200-meter hydraulic-banked track. It is home to the Cornhuskers gymnastics, indoor track and field, swimming and diving, wrestling and volleyball teams.

The mission of the Lincoln Community Playhouse (LCP) is to create and promote quality theatrical experiences that meet the needs of the Lincoln area. LCP achieves its mission by providing opportunities for participation by children, youth, and adults; a variety of opportunities for volunteerism; a variety of opportunities for education regarding the theatre; and by promoting a theatre that is entertaining and affordable to a multi-faceted audience.

The Lincoln Children’s Zoo is a children’s zoo located in Lincoln, Nebraska. Designed specifically for children to experience interactive, up-close encounters with all of the Zoo’s animals, Lincoln Children’s Zoo has been accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums

The Lancaster Event Center shows antiques and crafts shows, Lincoln City Libraries book sales, beer festivals, animal shows and agricultural events, rodeos, car shows, themed runs, gun shows, the Lancaster County Fair, and private events.[4]
