The Church of St. Nicholas

75 Velyka Vasylkivska Street, Kyiv,

The masterpiece of the outstanding architect Vladyslav Horodetskyi. The temple was built in 1899-1909 and since then has experienced many fateful accidents. In 1978, the church building was given to the Kyiv House of Organ and Chamber Music. Instead of an altar, an organ with 3945 pipes and 55 registers was installed. In 2021, the church suffered a severe fire, in which, unfortunately, the unique organ was completely lost.

Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex

It is a universal sports facility in Kyiv, the main arena of Ukraine, and the venue for home matches of the Dynamo football club and the Ukrainian national football team. It has a capacity of 70,050 spectators, making it the 17th largest stadium in Europe. The stadium hosted the return leg of the 1975 UEFA Super Cup, seven matches of the 1980 Summer Olympics football tournament, and five matches of the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship.

Kyiv Pechersk Lavra

One of the largest Orthodox monastery complexes in Ukraine. The name comes from its first inhabitants, who settled here in the caves (ua: pechera) in 1051. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994.

National Museum of Folk Architecture and Folkways

It is the largest open-air museum in Europe. The architectural and landscape complex covers an area of over 131 hectares. It contains unique monuments of folk architecture from the 16th to 20th centuries and the most complete ethnographic collection in Ukraine.

Golden Gate

The Golden Gate of Kyiv (Ukrainian: Золоті ворота, Zoloti vorota) was the main gate in the 11th century fortifications of Kyiv, the capital of Kievan Rus'. It was named in imitation of the Golden Gate of Constantinople. The structure contains a branch of the National Sanctuary "Sophia of Kyiv" museum.

St Andrew's Church

St Andrew's Church (Ukrainian: Андріївська церква, Andriivska tserkva) is an Orthodox church in Kyiv, constructed between 1747 and 1754 to a design by the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli. It is a rare example of Elizabethan Baroque in Ukraine. Situated on a steep hill, where Andrew the Apostle is believed to have foretold the great future of the place as the cradle of Christianity in the Slavic lands, the church overlooks the historic Podil neighborhood.
