Caerphilly Castle was a vast medieval fortress built in hostile territory to secure control of the upland region of the cantref of Senghennydd. Its concentric layout represented the very latest in castle design and would be imitated by the later Royal castles built by Edward I to suppress North Wales. A must see when visiting Cardiff.

St Fagans National History Museum is one of Europe's leading open-air museums representing the life and culture of Wales and situated in 100 acres of parkland. The museum stands in the grounds of St Fagans Castle, a late 16th century manor house.

Previously known as the Millenium Stadium, Principality Stadium is the national stadium of Wales, home of the national Rugby team. The stadium was initially built to host the 1999 Rugby World Cup which has gone on to host many other large scale concerts and events including the Speedway Grand Prix of Great Britain.
