Botero Museum

Created on the 2000, thanks to Fernando Botero, Colombian painter and sculptor recognized by his representative artwork about huge and fat characters and animals, Botero donated a collection valued over 200 million dollars. Theres exhibited 123 artworks in different techniques of its own and 85 of representative artists like Picasso, Renoir, Dalí, Matisse, Monet, Degas, Chagall, Giacometti, Bonard, Vuilliard among others, making this one into one of the most big and important in the world.

Monserrate Hill (Mountaintop tourist attraction)

The permanent centinel of Bogota, this hill is the principal touristic attraction of the city, 3.512 mt over the sea. Has a Sanctuary dedicated to the Monserrat Lady founded in 1640 and the Fallen Lord's Sanctuary a master piece created by Pedro Lugo & Albarracin. Salt Cathedral

Opened in 1995, carved inside a salt mine, which makes it one of a kind in the world. The Salt Cathedral is a temple built inside the salt mines of Zipaquira in the Sabana of Bogota, Cundinamarca department, Colombia. It is also a religious center. In 2007 through a competition to choose the 7 Wonders of Colombia, Salt Cathedral won the most votes, making it the No.1 Wonder Colombia, although it was also proposed between the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

Maloka (Interactive/Educational Center)

Plaza de Bolivar (Main Square/Historic Center)

Previously called the Calle Real, you could find the Congress of the Republic, the Courthouse and the Primary Catedral of Bogota. Right in the middle of the square you could find a bronze Statue of Simon Bolivar General; the construction was decreed on july 20th of 1846. Surounding this you could find the Colegio Mayor San Bartolome wich is one of the oldest schools in latin-America, the National Capitol, the Lievano building and the Presidential House called Casa de Nariño.

National Museum

The National Museum of Colombia has built a collection of more than 20,000 objects that are symbols of national history and heritage. The collections include remains of the first inhabitants and material culture of prehispanic societies, objects from current indigenous and afrocolombian ethnography, evidence of different periods of the nation's history, and works of artistical value that range from the colonial period through the works of 'the first modern' artists.
