Kathi and Romeo of the “Sommertage” (Summer Days) blog have had a magical day in the Franconian city of Fürth. The enchanting city has a lot of history, amazing architecture, and a great romantic flair to it. So, of course, we are reminded of deceleration. It’s nice here, in the city of clover leaves in the south.

A culinary tour of Fürth. Sometimes it really makes sense to work together. The Fürth collective “Das Gourmetviertel” is one of those occasions. Those working on the best food become more visible through community. The “Gourmetviertel” includes food and delicacy specialists around Marienstraße, Hirschenstraße and Theresienstraße in the center of Fürth. All shops are within walking distance of each other.

Fürth is a city with a soul. And a lot of surprises. The Franconian beauty is old, has a historical district at its center, and some gorgeous and truly stunning architecture. Fürth is really cool. And modern. And stylish! Doubts? Then take a look at Alexanderstraße 5. The amazing and charismatic 2nd Hand-Shop “LA COLA” had us convinced on our first visit. You can find awesome vintage treasures, a lot of practical things, cool stuff, and some soul.

The town hall in itself is worth a visit but when you climb up 55 meters to the town hall tower you will be presented with an amazing view over Fürth and on good days you might even see parts of Erlangen and Nuremberg. For those of you who are not keen on climbing or visiting the town hall itself we suggest you still be around the town hall for around 12.04 pm to listen to an extravagant chimes - Stairway to Heaven!

This outdoor puzzle tour is a real highlight! You have to solve a series of tasks to reach your destination. Private detective Morgan communicates with you by text and audio via an encrypted messenger service and presents you with exciting challenges on your scavenger hunt. Only if you solve the missions will you receive the coveted awards!

The city park is the green heart of the city and is an oasis for strolling and relaxing. The fountain courtyard, which is located between the Church of the Resurrection and the Stadtparkcafé, and the rose garden directly next to the church are particularly worth seeing. The Stadtparkcafé invites you to relax with a delicious cappuccino or a glass of wine.
