Mayo Civic Center is Southern Minnesota's premier destination for local, regional, national and international conventions, entertainment, social and sporting opportunities. Serving as a vital economic generator for the region, Mayo Civic Center focuses on providing an exceptional experience by delivering world-class service and high-quality, versatile facilities. It first opened its doors in1939 as a dual-venue complex, and was known as the Mayo Civic Auditorium.

The Dr. Paul E. Zollman Zoo houses over 30 species of wild animals native to Minnesota. Many of the zoo creatures have physical injuries that have rendered them non-releasable, while others are surplus zoo animals from other facilities. Open Daily 10am - 4pm

The Ear of Corn Water Tower near Graham Park has become an Olmsted County landmark and tourist attraction for those traveling to Rochester, Minnesota. In 1931, the water tower was constructed as a nod to one of the two main vegetables processed at the Seneca Foods canning facility. Although the facility was demolished to make way for future redevelopment, the Ear of Corn Water Tower was left for community members and guests to enjoy for years to come.

The University of Minnesota Rochester is a public college in Rochester, Minnesota. It is part of the University of Minnesota system and focuses primarily on general health sciences. It was formally established by an act of the state legislature in December 2006.
