Israel Philharmonic Orchestra

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1936 by Bronislaw Huberman and its inaugural concert, on 26 December 1936, was conducted by Arturo Toscanini. The IPO plays in subscription series, including a special annotated Youth Concert Series and special concerts, The orchestra has hosted most of the world's greatest conductors and soloists, and it also does much to develop Israeli artists and young talents from Israel and abroad.

A lovely small flea market out in the small old streets of Jaffa. Very colorful, Lots of old special things to buy aside some new stuff. Prices are quite cheap and huggling is a custom. The Flea Market is lovely at all hours of the day, but the late morning is a good time to go. Friday is the busiest day of the week, when the merchants take their stock out onto the streets for all to see. Weekdays are less crowded and hectic, but boast a charming, more laid-back ambience.
