YUEXIU PARK

Yuexiu Park is the largest park in downtown Guangzhou. Covering an area of 860,000 square meters (212.5 acres), the park is made up of three artificial lakes and seven hills which belong to Yuexiu Mountain, hence the name Yuexiu Park.

BAIYUN MOUNTAIN

Located in northeast of downtown Guangzhou, the Baiyun Mountain covers a total area of 20.98 square kilometers and is a national grade AAAAA scenic area and the only national scenic area in Guangzhou. As a well-known mountain in south Guangdong, the mountain has been given the title of “the most beautiful mountain in Guangzhou” since ancient times. Its highest peak, Moxing Ridge, stands 382m above sea level.

FRIENDSHIP THEATER

Friendship Theater was built in 1965, and for most of its history was known as the largest and most famous theater in Guangdong, even building a following overseas. Chinese garden-style decor blended with modern architecture has helped make it fashionable, comfortable and very successful. Friendship Theater, which belongs to Guangdong Provincial Art Center. Its theater shows are mostly Chinese opera and dramas, but it also puts on concerts and international dance performances.

LIWANHU PARK

Liwan Lake Park is the most elegant and graceful style emboding the southern countries. Liwan Park was bulit in 1958, covering an area of about 400,000 square meters, and the lake covers about 2 / 3. Liwan Lake Park was named in the ancient West Pearl River on a bend – Lychee Wan, the bend to the planting of lychee and famous, there is one poem saying “a Green Bay, spring water, lychee red cross”.

GUANGZHOU ZOO

Guangzhou Zoo is one of the urban zoos with the most diverse and numerous animal exhibitions in China. The zoo features over 450 species of animals, including mammals, reptiles, birds, and fish, many of which are rare and exotic creatures from around the world. For example, giant pandas, golden snub-nosed monkeys, and black-necked cranes are among the 35 species classified as national first-class protected animals. And also can visit the New Guangzhou Ocean World.

SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL

The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus also known as Sacred Heart Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Guangzhou (Canton), South China. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Guangzhou (Canton). The cathedral is located at 56 Yide Lu (or Yat Tak Road), Guangzhou. It is on the north bank of the Pearl River and stands at the heart of the busy old town.

SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY

Sun Yat-sen University, is located in Guangzhou, Guangdong, originally known as Guangdong University, was founded in 1924 by Dr. Sun Yat-sen (also called Sun Zhongshan), a great democratic revolutionary leader of the 20th century. At present, Sun Yat-sen University covers a total area of 6.17 square kilometers and has 4 campuses: Guangzhou South Campus, Guangzhou North Campus, Guangzhou East Campus, and Zhuhai Campus.

SUN YAT-SEN MEMORIAL HALL

Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, situated on the southern slope of Yuexiu Hill, was constructed between 1929 and 1931, a monument to Dr Sun Yat-sen. The hall, a grand octagon building of typical Chinese architectural style reconstruction in 1998. The masterpiece of architecture history is created with a span of 71 meters without a pillar but significant outlooks and delicate interior designs. As an important place for conferences and performances, it can hold thousands of people with sound equipment.

MUSEUM OF THE TOMB OF NANYUE KING IN XIHAN DYNASTY

Located on Jiefang Bei Road, Guangzhou, the Western Han Dynasty Nanyue King Mausoleum Museum is the oldest and largest Han tomb with the most funerary objects in Lingnan (South of the Nanling Mountain) Area. As one of the 80 famous museums in the world, the museum covers 14,000 square meters (150, 699.6 square feet) with 10 exhibition halls. Admission Fee: RMB12/per person

HUANGHUAGANG MAUSOLEUM OF 72 MARTYRS

No. 79, Xianlie Road Middle, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong

Huanghuagang 72 Martyrs' Cemetery was built by oversea Chinese to commemorate the martyrs sacrificed in the Guangzhou Uprising of the revolutionary party led by Mr. Huang Xing in 1911. On the arch of the gateway, it is the inscription "A Noble Spirit Will Never Perish" written by Sun Yat-sen. Along the 230m path leading to the tomb grow evergreen cypresses and yellow flowers. Behind the pool and stone arch bridge is the tombstone of the Mausoleum to 72 Martyrs.
