At IHG Rewards Club we believe there should be one easy way to get our lowest room price. That’s why we launched our Lowest Price Promise. It means our rooms always cost less when you book direct.

To get our lowest price, all you need to do is join our IHG Rewards Club® for free. The Lowest Price Promise applies to our “IHG®Rewards Club rate” at Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites hotels in Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom (“IHG Participating Hotels”).

We are so confident we have the lowest prices on our rooms that if you book directly with us and later find a lower or matching rate (subject to our Terms & Conditions), just let us know and we will give you your first night free!

What to do if you believe you have a Lowest Price Promise claim.

If you answer ‘yes’ to all of the six questions below you may have a claim:

  1. Are you already an IHG® Rewards Club member?
  2. Did you make a reservation on either the IHG.com website or directly on one of the IHG Participating Hotel websites (together, an “IHG Website”)?
  3. Did you use the Best Available Rate search?
  4. Did you choose the IHG® Rewards Club rate from the Best Available Rate search results for your reservation?
  5. Did you find a matching or lower room price and/or lower total room cost on a non-IHG website within 24 hours of making your reservation directly with IHG?
  6. Is that matching or lower room price and/or matching or lower total room cost for the same type of accommodations on the same date(s)?


The Lowest Price Promise is subject to Terms and Conditions. If you answered ‘yes’ to all the above, we encourage you to review the full Terms & Conditions before filing your claim to make sure it is valid.

Is there a time limit on my claim?

Yes, due to the fact that the price of hotel rooms change constantly, to qualify for our Lowest Price Promise, you must notify us within 24 hours of making your reservation.


How do I make a claim?

You will need to fill out the online form and submit this to IHG.

Here’s some further details to help make those six questions above a little clearer.

 


1. Are you already an IHG® Rewards Club member?

In order to access the IHG® Rewards Club rate & be eligible for the Lowest Price Promise you will need to be a member of IHG Rewards Club. If you’re not a member, you can sign up now (for free) to be eligible for the Lowest Price Promise.

2. Did you make a reservation on either the IHG.com website or directly on one of the IHG Participating Hotel websites (together, an “IHG Website”)?

The Lowest Price Promise is applicable to IHG Participating Hotels only.
Reservations must be made directly on an IHG Website and for the Lowest Price Promise you will need a valid reservation confirmation number.

3. Did you use the Best Available price search?

When you search for a room on an IHG Website and specify “Best Available” as your price preference, you will be presented with a variety of price types (e.g. Best Flexible, Advance Purchase, IHG® Rewards Club). These are the best hotel room prices available currently that meet your search criteria.

4. Did you book the IHG® Rewards Club rate from the Best Available Rate search results for your reservation?

A guest must book the IHG® Rewards Club rate in order to qualify for the Lowest Price Promise.

5. Did you find a matching or lower room price and/or a matching or lower total room cost on a “non-IHG Website” within 24 hours of your IHG reservation?

A non-IHG Website is a website that sells a hotel room from the IHG Family of Brands (InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Express® Hotels, Hotel Indigo® Hotels and Staybridge Suites®Hotels). It is not another hotel brand website. Rooms on the non-IHG Website must be publicly available, viewable and bookable on the Internet at the time of verification by IHG.  Please see our full Terms & Conditions for more detail.

6. Is the matching or lower room price and/or matching or lower total room cost for the same type of accommodations on the same date(s)?

Same type of accommodations includes the same hotel, the same type of room(s), same dates and length of stay, and same number of guests.  Please see our full Terms & Conditions for more detail.

Example of a resolution to a valid Lowest Price Promise claim:


A guest books a two night stay at the lowest available price through the Best Available Rate search for a hotel in London (UK) on the Holiday Inn Express® UK website for a room price of £ 200.00 GBP.


Within 24 hours, that same guest finds a room price of £ 200.00 GBP (or lower) and a total room cost that is equal to or less than the total room cost for the Holiday Inn Express UK hotel on a non-IHG Website for the same hotel, same nights, with the same rate restrictions (refundable or non-refundable) and same room type (same number and type of bed(s)).


The guest contacts IHG to claim the Lowest Price Promise by filling out the online form.


Once the Claims Validation team confirms that the Lowest Price Promise claim filed is valid, they will modify the guest’s reservation with the first night free and the second night at £ 200.00 GBP or, if a lower rate is found, the lower rate.


How is the Lowest Price Promise different from your ‘Best Price Guarantee’?

The Best Price Guarantee (BPG) is not the same as the Lowest Price Promise.  The Lowest Price Promise only applies to the IHG Rewards Club rate for IHG Participating Hotels.

The BPG does still apply to the non-member rates for Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites hotels in Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom (and for IHG’s other hotel brands). A guest is not able to make a claim under both LPP and BPG. Please see our Lowest Price Promise Terms and Conditions for details of how to make a LPP claim.
