The national Quilt Museum is home to some of the past Quilt Show Quilts. The musuem is complete with video tutorials and guides that will show you about all of the history of quilting. Annually the community hosts a Quilt Show in which quilters come from all over the world to showcase their work.

Kentucky Lake is a beautiful lake area located about 30 minutes from Candlewood Suites. There are several marinas located on the lake that allow boat and waterski rentals.

Harrahs Casino is the nightlife of Metropolis IL. The casino is located just across the river and is suited to meet the needs of any gambler! The casino often hosts as a venue for several concerts throughout the year. Performances have been by stars such as Gary Allan, Trace Adkins, Lynard Skynard and George Jones.

Drake Creek golf course is a beautiful facility that is ready to meet the needs of any golfer. Candlewood Suites is set up to provide free range balls and gold club rentals to all guests of the hotel. Our front desk staff can also call and set up preferred tee times!

Kentucky Oaks mall offers a wide varitey of stores including Old Navy, Dillards, JCPenny, Best Buy, Hollister and much more!

Downtown Paducah contains several independent resturaunts and shops. There are several places to make any antique shopper happy. Lowertown Paducah also has the historical flood wall that is painted with beautiful murals of the city's history.

The Carson Center hosts a variety of shows. Performances range from musical acts, childrens plays and even ballet. Seating is wonderful and shows are definately worth seeing!

Maiden Alley is an old time theatre located in Paducah's historic downtown area. It shows many popular Indie films and documentaries.
