Bull Run's spacious fields accommodate groups by the hundreds, even thousands, for picnics, camping or special events. Bull Run's scenic woodland and trails offer miles of hiking and solitude. In springtime, acres of bluebells and other wildflowers bloom beside a picturesque, meandering stream. A large outdoor pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. A public shooting center, which includes sporting clays, skeet, trap, wobble trap and indoor archery, is open year-round.

Fair Oaks Mall is a 1.6 million-square-foot suburban shopping center located in Fairfax, Virginia, at the intersection of I-66 & Route 50. The Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center provides a broad range of year-round recreational, educational, social and cultural programs and activities. Located on the Prince William campus of George Mason University, our 110,000 square foot facility features two pools; a whirlpool; family locker rooms; a full gymnasium; cardio, aerobic and strength studios; racquetball courts; a child care center and a full range of adult and youth programming

The current 7,000-square-foot building on eight acres opened in 1991. Permanent and temporary historical exhibits interpret Northern Virginia Piedmont history through artifacts, documents, videos, and images. The Museum houses the McBryde Library and Archives and Echoes, the Museum Store. Plans for expanded exhibit galleries, artifact conservation facilities, and an educational center are currently under development

Confident that their foes would turn and run, neither side anticipated the smoke, din and death of battle. Nearly one year later, both sides met again on the same battlefield with the Confederates winning a solid victory bringing them to the height of their power.

Located on the campus of Northern Virginia's George Mason University, the Patriot Center is a 10,000-seat arena that hosts Mason basketball games, concerts, family shows and commencement ceremonies. The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington Dulles International Airport is the companion facility to the Museum on the National Mall. The building opened in December, 2003, and provides enough space for the Smithsonian to display the thousands of aviation and space artifacts that cannot be exhibited on the National Mall. The two sites together showcase the largest collection of aviation and space artifacts in the world.

Very rich in history and very rich in wine, the new Winery at La Grange opened September 2006 as Prince William County's only established winery. The red brick three and a half story La Grange manor house built in the 1790's has survived numerous owners and finally has come to rest with an unique group of investors brought together by Chris Pearmund.
