Every dollar makes a tangible difference: two healthy meals delivered to someone in need, one kilogram of good food saved from going to waste, and a reduction in harmful carbon emissions.

Right now, food insecurity is affecting more Australians than ever before. Each month, 50,000 people go without support - an increase of 54% since 2024*. Rising living costs, housing pressures, and higher grocery prices are making life even harder for many. Food relief isn’t only about hunger - it’s about dignity, choice, health, and easing the impossible decisions families face every day. It’s a lifeline, providing comfort and hope when it’s needed most.

Our 'Awesome Partnership' with OzHarvest

In 2019, IHG Hotels & Resorts launched its nationwide collaboration with OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue organisation. Known as the Awesome Partnership, our collaboration has fostered a sustainable food culture for the last six years.

Food Rescue

We work with OzHarvest to ensure good food from our hotels and resorts never goes to waste. Whenever possible, any excess quality food is collected from our properties and delivered to charities that provide meals to those who need them most.

Supporting the Nourish Program

OHarvest’s Nourish Program gives at-risk young people facing barriers to education, training or employment the skills, qualifications, and confidence to pursue a career in hospitality.
